Gospel Music Workshop of America Celebrating Its 43rd Anniversary with

The influential and acclaimed Atlanta Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. (GMWA) is celebrating its 43rd Anniversary with a live recording.

The recording will be held at Ray of Hope Christian Church at 2778 Snapfinger Rd, Decatur (30034), Saturday, February 23, 2019. It was however revealed today by the Atlanta Chapter Representative, Lady Evelyn Ellis White.

Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. is the largest gospel music convention across the United States founded in 1967 by Rev. James Cleveland and has a proven track record for producing major artists with the motto of, “Where Everybody is Somebody.”

The Atlanta Chapter of the GMWA, Inc. was formed on January 20, 1976, chartered on May 10, 1976 and has carried the traditions of equip singers and musicians performing in their individual, local churches with the academic and technical training needed to enhance the effective delivery of the gospel message through music.

Each year Chapter Representative White and the Atlanta Chapter of GMWA, Inc. endeavour to make the anniversary celebration better than the year before. This year will be no different. In celebration of 43 excellent years, this year’s celebration will focus on the talents of the local chapter members by recording their independent selections in one. So plethora of voices over a 100 hundred voices singing new and original compositions over a fully-backed band spanning the depths of gospel music from Gospel Anthems, Traditional Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music.

The recording will offer something that all listeners will love and want to keep in frequent rotation on the radio and personal playlists for years to come. This will go down in history as one of the greatest GMWA, Inc. recordings ever!

The event is free and open to the public.
