RCA Inspiration celebrates two wins at the 31st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, which was taped
on February 20th in Las Vegas. The over 40 time Stellar Award winner Kirk Franklin Fo Yo Soul Recordings/RCA Records) brought home the award for Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year for his hit single “Wanna Be Happy?”
Franklin also closed the Stellar Awards with a medley performance,giving fans a taste of what they can expect to see during his upcoming 20 Years In One Night Tour. Winning the award
in the category for Special Event CD of the Year was the top selling compilation, WOW Gospel 2015.
During the taping, gospel newcomer Travis Greene delivered a heartfelt performance that is sure to encourage the masses. Marvin Sapp was named to this year’s Stellar Honors Class and Jason Nelson joined in on the celebration by presenting the Albertina Walker ‘Female Vocalist of The Year Award’ with motivational author, speaker and television star Iyanla Vanzant.
