NATHANIEL BASSEY ENCOURAGES NIGERIAN YOUTHS

Nigerian Christian artist and worship leader, Nathaniel Bassey encourages Nigerian youth in light of the most recent development in the struggle against police brutality.

After a harrowing two weeks of peaceful protests and demonstrations by the Nigerian youths against police brutality and the operations of the notorious SARS unit of the Nigerian Police Force, there has been response from the government.

Following the events of the night of Tuesday, October 20th 2020, on which the protests and demonstrations became a bloodbath after the Army arrived on the scene and fired live rounds in an attempt to disperse protesters, leaving some dead and many injured.

Nigerians began to express agitation at the turn of events, which included mass looting and destruction of property by hoodlums, as well as military response to these activities. Nigerians began demanding the President make a public address.

At 7pm on the night of Thursday October 22nd 2020, President Buhari gave an addressed in which he called for physical protests to cease. This left many sad and discouraged as to moving forward.

Nathaniel Bassey then addressed weary Nigerian youths, after last night’s edition of the HALLELUJAH CHALLENGE, in an Instagram post which is available below:

We hope and pray for the wisdom and grace of God to move ahead in JESUS’ NAME. SHALOM !
