American Grammy Award winning recording artist and producer, PJ Morton released his latest project, The Gospel According To PJ, this week.
Ahead of the album, Morton released “All In His Plan”, which powered its way into the Top Ten on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart, landing at No. 8.
The soul-stirring track features the soulful vocals of Le’Andria Johnson alongside the platinum-selling sister act, Mary Mary.
Morton showcases a who’s who in R&B and Gospel music coming together to re-interpret songs that he’s written for others, as well as, some new original compositions.
Morton says of his decision to launch this project:
“Gospel is where I got my start as a song writer,”. “It’s my foundation. It’s what keeps me grounded. So, although I work on all types of music, I’ll never forget where I come from.”
A thirteen-time Grammy nominee, Morton holds a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “How Deep Is Your Love” (2018) and for Best R&B Song for “Say So” (2019), his duet with Pop star, JoJo.
