Seasoned psalmist and worship leader Eno Michael has released the video of her hit song Bo itoro (remix). The video also featured saxophonist Utibe Williams. The song is said to have garnered an estimated 150,000 downloads within 3 weeks of release of  the audio version of the song. Bo Itoro (Remix) has recorded numerous testimonies of healing, breakthroughs, restoration and divine worship experiences.

Review :

This video takes us back to the era of  Funmi Davies’ Praise the Lord – Halle... video and that was over 10 years ago so needless to say this video is one of the best out there if it was 10 years ago when Nigerian music videos started coming of age.

For any song, there should be a message, something for the listener to hold on to and Bo Itoro is one song that has such a powerful effect and anointing. We just wish the video were better because any good music video should have a story; something to carry us along and make us want to watch it again. This feature is totally lacking in this video. It looks like the scenes were just strung together haphazardly. No pattern and concept so much that i couldn’t marry the scenes with the song. It is however possible to let the video tell us the story of how the song was made in the studio like Joe Praize did in his Mighty God video. The directors should have towed that line. That would have kept us more interested.

Some of the mistakes that could have been avoided completely in the video are the scenes with her in the garden walkway holding a yellow umbrella with the Chinese inscription; that scene does not contribute in any way to the video and should have been removed. Then really what does those Chinese inscription mean or did the director thinks details like that should be overlooked? Another detail was the backup singers in choir robes. First of all, if they really wanted to do robes, then there should have been more people because robes look beautiful in large numbers and why should anyone put on jeans trousers or sandals with a choir robe? did the directors think it will go unnoticed? so much more mistakes but ill pause here.

After all is said and done, this work is a poor attempt at a music video. We wanted a music video and they gave it to us anyhow.

Score – 3/10. NOT IMPRESSED!
