Durham, NC — From the Heart Gospel is a national recording group that formed in 2013. From The Heart Gospel (FTHG) is a multi-faceted Gospel group that harmonizes and boldly ministers traditional to contemporary songs. Their diversity has allowed them to appear on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel and minister with Kirk Franklin, Luther Barnes, Lee Williams and The Spiritual QC’s and Ruth La’Ontra.
The group members are brothers Aaron Meadows, Brian Meadow, Marcus Meadows, and long-time family friend Sedric Beulah. FTHG is a family group who transfer their close bond through their Intricate and smooth vocal blend. Reminiscent of great male groups Commissioned, The Winans, and Men of Standard, FTHG have innovatively carried the classic vocal bravura into modern music.
“We are a very eclectic group,” says group member Brian Meadows. “We are not a traditional quartet group, although we do have some songs that fit that style. We pride ourselves in being able to reach outside of those lines and to appeal to a much wider spectrum.”
From The Heart Gospel’s current single is “I Must Tell Jesus”, which is available on all digital music outlets now. The song is produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Cedric Thompson. “I Must Tell Jesus” is a remake of the beloved hymn set to an upbeat, go-go-inspired track.
“I Must Tell Jesus was birthed from my life experiences,” says Aaron Meadows founding group member. “I lost my Mom to cancer ten years ago and my daughter to brain cancer when she was only nine years old. No one could relate to the pain and heaviness of my heart. Jesus was there and continues to listen and answer my prayers. Jesus does not waiver in his consistency to love, listen, and respond to our cry.”
