American Christian music artist Lauren Daigle‘s cross-over mega-hit “YOU SAY” reached a truly historic milestone that is making a splash across the industry.
Billboard certified this week that “You Say” has ruled at No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart for 100 weeks.
“You Say” made chart history back in October 2019 when it passed Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail” as the longest-running No. 1 song on Hot Christian Songs at 62 weeks.
This week’s charting lands “You Say” as the first song across any genre to claim the No.1 spot on one of Billboard’s Hot charts for 100 weeks.
The Billboard Hot charts blend streaming, airplay and sales data according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Reacting to the incredible news, Daigle posted on social media:
“When I was a little girl, I would dream of moments like this. Upon hearing the news, I called my family.
We laughed. We cried. We made jokes. We celebrated. I am so honored and want to thank all the people involved in achieving this accomplishment.”
She added:
“I may sing and write, but there are many people working behind the scenes. My sincere gratitude goes out to them.
To be a part of a song that has not only made history but has lived inside the homes of families raising babies, widows needing comfort, teenagers needing a friend, those who have lost and those who have gained, that is a gift I’ll never fully put into words.

Billboard reports that as of this week, “You Say” has had 2.3 billion spins on radio with 605.7 million streams in the US and 929,000 downloads in the US.
“You Say” is the stand-out single from Daigle’s 2018 album Look Up Child, which debuted at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and No. 1 on the iTunes all-genre chart.
