The just concluded MARANATHA WORSHIP MUSIC AWARDS was a great success, with a very good number of Nigerian gospel artists taking home big wins.
The MARANATHA AWARDS had nominations for scores of Gospel music artists and personalities from around and across different gospel spheres and sub genres.
The majority of the Nigerian gospel artists who were nominated in their various categories were winners of those categories. Below is the list of the winners and their categories.
1.) SINACH
Sinach was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to Kingdom Music Diplomacy. The official Instagram of the Awards organization posted:

2.) MERCY CHINWO
Nigerian gospel sensation and well decorated artist and minister with amazing vocals, Mercy Chinwo, of EeZee Conceptz, bagged the award for “BEST FEMALE ARTIST AFRICA”.
3.) STEVE CROWN
Gospel music artist and minister whose contribution to Nigerian gospel music cannot be ignored, Steve Crown, won the category of “BEST GOSPEL SONG AFRICA” for his viral hit Gospel track “YOU ARE YAHWEH”.
4.) MINISTER GUC
Winning the category of “BEST BREAKTHROUGH MALE MINISTER AFRICA” was Minister GUC who in recent times has been consistent with delivering amazing worship tunes such as “DESPERATE’, “IKE NILE”, “THE BILL” and “ALL THAT MATTERS”. He has indeed had a great start to his music career and the win was well deserved.
5.) JUDIKAY
Vibrant, amazing vocalist and minister of the Gospel, Judith Kanayo, better known simply as JUDIKAY, won the award category for “BEST BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE ARTIST AFRICA”. She is recognized for her songs “SONG OF ANGELS”, “FOUNTAIN” and “OMEMMA”.
6.) JIMMY D PSALMIST
The soulful Jimmy D Psalmist who has blessed the gospel music scene with great songs such as “MIGHTY MAN OF WAR”, “MORE THAN” and recently, “INDOMITABLE”, was honored with an award in the category of “BEST GOSPEL MUSIC VIDEO AFRICA”.
7.) EBEN & NATHANIEL BASSEY
Nigerian veteran gospel music greats, Emmanuel Benjamin, popularly known as Eben, and Nathaniel Bassey , were winners of the award category of “BEST COLLABORATION SONG AFRICA” with their song “NO ONE LIKE YOU”.
8.) MOSES BLISS
Loveworld recording Gospel artist and minister, Moses Bliss, was honored with the MARANATHA AWARD for “BEST ADORATION SONG AFRICA” for his beautiful worship song “TOO FAITHFUL”.
